Gears of War: E-Day uses two different level tracks. Player Level advances from multiplayer XP earned in Horde Siege, Versus, and weekly challenges. Horde Class Level advances separately for Assault, Breacher, Marksman, and Medic and unlocks class-specific loadouts, mods, equipment, and milestone power.
Player Level caps at 100 before an optional Re-Up. Each launch Horde class has thirty levels. Keeping the tracks separate prevents false promises about what one kind of XP unlocks.
Player Level covers overall multiplayer play
Playing Horde Siege or Versus earns Player XP, and weekly challenges also award it. Advancing Player Level represents broad multiplayer progress rather than mastery of one class or Ranked playlist.
Every ten Player Levels awards a batch of Coins according to the official progression overview. Exact XP requirements and Coin amounts need the current public build. Record the results screen rather than extrapolating from one level.
Rank and Skill Division are separate competitive systems. A Player Level increase does not prove that Ranked Rating or matchmaking skill changed.
Level 100 and the Re-Up choice
At Player Level 100, the player can choose to Re-Up, earning an exclusive reward and resetting Player Level to 1. Four Re-Ups are available, representing five passes through levels 1–100 and 500 total levels of progression.
After reaching level 100 on the final Re-Up, the official plan awards Gears 2-inspired wings displayed with the player’s gamertag or Steam name in multiplayer spaces.
Do not publish the exact Re-Up reward for every stage unless the live interface or first-party source names it. Verify whether any prompt is reversible before confirming.
Class Level is a Horde build track
Every completed Horde mission earns Class XP for the selected class. Across thirty levels, tracks unlock new loadout weapons and equipment, Armor Mods, Tactical Gear Mods, and Weapon Mods. Key milestones also provide base health and damage increases.
An unlocked Weapon Mod still requires a Weapon Part purchase before use. Weapon configurations are shared across classes that equip the same weapon, but class levels themselves should not be assumed to merge.
Record which class received XP. A mission played as Medic should not be described as automatically leveling Assault without live evidence.
Difficulty recommendations use Class Level
Horde difficulty guidance is attached to Class Level: Infantry is recommended for 10–20, Commander for 20–30, and Allfather for maximum-level classes. Ensign and Gear provide earlier learning space, while exact unlock conditions remain menu facts.
The recommendation is not a guaranteed success threshold. Objective knowledge, squad lives, Energy spending, mods, map, and communication still decide whether the team extracts.
Move up when the squad can reproduce a clean mission, not simply when the number enters a new range.
XP sources have different scopes
Player XP comes from broad multiplayer play and weekly challenges. Class XP comes from completed Horde missions. Ranked uses its own Rank Rating and Skill Division. Beta participation can grant specifically announced rewards but does not carry ordinary Beta progress into launch.
When reading a results screen, label each bar before reporting a “level.” If a weekly challenge completes after a Horde mission, separate its Player XP from the mission’s Class XP.
This distinction also helps support reports when one track moves and another does not.
Avoid fake fastest-level claims
Pre-release sources do not publish full XP tables, mission efficiency, matchmaking time, challenge rotation, or balance. A theoretical fastest method can become wrong when queue time, failure risk, weekly objectives, or difficulty rewards are included.
After launch, compare XP per completed session and successful extraction, not a short highlight. State playlist, difficulty, duration, challenge completion, class, and public build.
Do not recommend abandoning teammates or objectives for XP. A failed Horde mission returns partial XP and can lose extracted-value opportunities.
Build a clean progress log
Record starting and ending Player Level, Re-Up stage, selected Horde class and level, Player XP gained, Class XP gained, challenge bonuses, Coins, match result, and build date.
Take a screenshot at the result screen if a value appears wrong. Restart the interface and verify account state before claiming lost progress. Steam display and Xbox account linkage can also matter for identity, so note which account was active without exposing credentials.
Archive Beta logs under separate AppID 4059240. The launch product is AppID 3010850.
