The Medic is Horde Siege’s midrange revive specialist in Gears of War: E-Day. Its Stim Vaporizer heals and revives Gears within range, including downed soldiers from other squads, and the class receives faster health regeneration. The Medic can fight independently, but its distinctive value is protecting the squad from a recoverable mistake becoming a spent squad life.
Good support begins with positioning. If the Medic cannot see the objective and cannot reach allies, a ready Tactical Gear icon has little practical value.
Stand where two recoveries are possible
Choose cover that influences the active R.I.G. and a retreat lane. Avoid standing directly beside every teammate; one area attack can down the Medic with the people who need help. A linked position lets the class step into range without being the first target.
During Repair or Calibrate, move with the middle of the formation. During Defend, stay offset from the primary lane and keep a path to both coverage pairs. At extraction, locate the safest angle that reaches the landing-zone fight.
Official sources do not publish final Stim range. Read the live indicator and test it in a safe moment before depending on an edge-of-range revive.
Use the Stim Vaporizer before a cascade
The ideal use prevents multiple downs or revives several players while the squad still has control. Watch health, enemy approach, and teammate commitment. Call the use so wounded players remain in range long enough to benefit.
Do not wait for a cinematic emergency if pressure is clearly about to land. Conversely, do not spend the tool on one player who can recover safely through normal regeneration when a large push is approaching.
Tactical Gear has a timed cooldown and can be modified through progression. Exact duration, healing, revive behavior, and cooldown should be taken from the equipped current-build description.
Understand downs, deaths, and COG tags
The Stim Vaporizer can revive downed Gears in range. A killed player instead drops COG tags. Squadmates can carry those tags to any Supply Cache, and players from another squad can collect them for an immediate revive.
The Medic should not automatically be the tag carrier. Assign the healthiest player with the safest route while the Medic preserves the group and covers the recovery. If Supply Caches are disabled by an Invasion Event, update the plan rather than running to a system that cannot work.
A full squad wipe consumes a squad life. Protecting one survivor and regrouping may be more valuable than an impossible final rescue.
Contribute from midrange
Medic is described as versatile and able to hold its own. Use midrange fire to remove the enemy threatening a revive lane, finish targets marked by the Marksman, or cover a Breacher’s retreat. Support is an action priority, not a ban on damage.
Keep reload timing connected to recovery. A full reload when two teammates are about to enter pressure can leave no response. Use a fast weapon swap or partial reload where the weapon supports it.
The final Medic starting loadout and later unlock sequence belong to the class track. Do not assume a weapon from promotional footage is permanent.
Coordinate Tactical Gear across the squad
Assault can use the Sonic Disruptor to create a safe revive window. Breacher can hold close pressure with the Adrenaline Injector while the Medic restores the formation. Marksman’s Pulse Drone can identify the threat that must be removed before anyone crosses to a downed player.
With duplicate Medics, stagger Vaporizer uses and divide coverage. State “first Stim” and “second Stim” so both tools are not consumed by the same recoverable damage. Duplicate classes are officially supported.
Support other squads when it is safe. The Vaporizer can revive their downed soldiers, but your own R.I.G. and extraction remain the responsibility of your squad.
Select mods from the actual failure
Thirty class levels unlock Armor Mods, Tactical Gear Mods, Weapon Mods, loadouts, equipment, and milestone increases. If allies are consistently just outside Stim range, a verified range mod may solve the issue. If the Medic dies first, movement, health, or positioning may matter more.
Weapon Parts must be extracted to retain mission-found parts and purchase unlocked Weapon Mods. Make reward detours only when the squad can still finish the mission.
Record exact mod name, description, class level, difficulty, and build. Avoid a universal “best Medic build” before live values and objective context exist.
Review saves without hiding bad positioning
Count revives and prevented wipes, but also ask why the damage occurred. If the Vaporizer repeatedly rescues players standing in an unnecessary lane, the squad should fix that lane rather than treating cooldown as unlimited insurance.
Note uses that reached multiple Gears, late uses after the position was lost, deaths while holding gear too long, and tag runs that should have been abandoned. Change the call or position before changing every mod.
At extraction, success with one survivor is still success. A Medic’s best final action may be healing the likely escape player rather than attempting a revive that exposes both.
