E-Day has permanent and updating challenge types with different clocks and rewards. Each week brings 12 Weekly Challenges, split evenly between Horde Siege and Versus. Each season brings 20 Seasonal Challenges across both modes. Limited events add five Event Challenges, while Foundations Challenges remain available as tutorials.
Achievements are separate platform-level goals, but E-Day connects them to Player Titles and sometimes additional customization. Read the type before deciding urgency.
Weekly Challenges: XP without forced catch-up
Six weekly tasks belong to Horde Siege and six to Versus. They expire at the end of the week and award Player XP. The official design says they accelerate progress without making a missed week feel mandatory.
Group compatible tasks by mode and objective. Complete a Horde class or mission task while pursuing a successful extraction; complete a Versus task while still playing TDM lives, Conquest zones, Demolition plants, or Crucible Core progress.
Do not leave matches early when a counter appears finished. Verify completion at the results screen and avoid Ranked quitting penalties.
Seasonal Challenges: direct customization rewards
Twenty Seasonal Challenges span Horde Siege and Versus during each season. Their rewards can include poses, weapon skin sets, banners, emblems, icons, and new base characters.
These challenges expire with the season. However, the official reward model says associated limited rewards eventually enter the Barracks after a cooldown, where they can be acquired with Coins or Iron. The active challenge cannot be bypassed with either currency while it remains available.
Record the season end shown in the live interface; do not assume a duration from another game.
Event Challenges: five focused tasks
Limited-time events provide a set of five themed challenges and matching customization. Their shorter window makes checking eligibility and expiry important.
Choose the tasks that fit available playtime and complete the match that grants them. Take a screenshot of completion and reward if the event is close to ending. Do not change system time or use unsupported methods to alter availability.
If the event is missed, wait for official Barracks availability after its cooldown rather than purchasing from an untrusted seller.
Foundations Challenges: persistent learning
Foundations Challenges do not expire and teach multiplayer combat basics. Their primary rewards are base characters. New and returning players should complete them through Boot Camp, Combat Training, or eligible multiplayer play as the live description directs.
Because there is no deadline, use them to establish controls and objective habits before chasing a seasonal list. A tutorial reward is still customization, not a combat-stat advantage.
Do not assume every action in private training counts; follow the eligibility text.
Achievements and Mastery rewards
All E-Day achievements unlock Player Titles for multiplayer. Some also provide customization items, including Campaign achievements that unlock base characters.
Four Mastery achievements each award a Legendary Character Skin. The official overview names an updated “Seriously?”-style achievement called Dead Serious among them. Full requirements and hidden campaign spoilers should come from the live Steam achievement list after launch.
Achievements are not a weekly or seasonal checklist. Do not describe them as expiring unless first-party rules say so.
Respect active acquisition paths
When an item is tied to an active challenge or achievement, it cannot be bypassed with Coins or money according to the official “Respect the Grind” policy. Complete the current requirement if eligible.
After a limited challenge expires and the cooldown passes, its reward can enter the Barracks for Coins or Iron. This does not apply automatically to permanent achievements, Premium Edition items, charity offers, or partnership items.
Keep each exception labeled so a guide does not falsely promise every cosmetic becomes free or purchasable.
Make a challenge session plan
List the exact task, eligible mode, progress, expiry in UTC or local time as displayed, reward, and whether it overlaps another objective. Prioritize the soonest event, then seasonal, then weekly, while Foundations and achievements can remain long-term.
Limit each session to tasks that support the team. If a requirement conflicts with winning, move to Social or a suitable Horde difficulty rather than damaging Ranked teammates.
At the end, verify Player XP, direct reward, and challenge state separately.
